It's been a while

Well I finally decided to post about something. About two weeks ago my youth group (Go Time Ministries) helped out with a Community Day in Finleyville. It was a blast and there were a lot of people out even though it rained half the day. We were all split up into groups wearing blue Go Time shirts so that people would know who we were and what we were doing there. The group i was in charge of help to put up road signs and set up the kids candy tent. After we set up and got the day started, me and my friend Jeremy helped directing traffic with our orange sand green vests and orange flags. But of course we had to make it interesting so we decided to direct the traffic by doing the YMCA dance and having doughnuts and chocolate milk. Then we were relieved of our traffic duties and helped out with the kids recreation. It started raining half way through the day, but we made the best of it and played knockout in the rain. Randomly through the day me and a couple of my friends would walk around and take a look at some of the stands (mostly the food stands) and watched some of the singers that preformed on stage. Then it was our turn, the drama team preformed the Everything drama once at 2:30 and once at 4. At the end of the day all the singers from the different churches came together for a community choir and sang a few hymns and song and then Brent ended the day with a prayer. Here are a few of the pictures my mom got of the day.

Happy Fathers Day!

well today is fathers day. and right now i'm waiting to eat some fathers day steak so i thought i would talk about the day. well on the way to church we picked up my mom's friend raynel and went on our way to church. on the way there we saw that they were having a car show kind of thing down at the fire hall in town. so we thought that after church we would check it out. we got to church and at the end of the service all the fathers came up for prayer and got sarris chocolate bars. i got one because i helped out=]. then we went home and i went and did some swimming at my friends house for a while. mean while my brothers and my dad all went to see the cars down at the fire hall and got some pictures of them. the they came back and went swimming as well. but here are some pictures of some of the cars they saw.
then we came home and are now waiting for dinner to be ready. later on we may go to wiggies house for movie night but we're not sure yet. if not we'll probably hang around here for a while. well thats about it for me hope everyone has a nice fathers day.

Saturday and Sunday

Well, Saturday I woke up bright and early to go fishing but instead I woke up to really find that it was pouring down rain. So needless to say, the first half of the day stunk, but we fished anyways. It finally cleared up toward the of middle of the day. After fishing until about 3, we went to Brittini Scott's b-day party at 4:30. We all went up to Trinity High School to play football and ultimate frisbee. After a sunny afternoon, it decided to pour right in the middle of it for like ten minutes. Then we had sun shine again, so it was really a weird day. Later we went back to Brit's house and shot hoops and opened presents and such. After I got home, I worked on my lesson that Pastor Bill asked me to do for Sunday morning service until midnight. I really couldn't concentrate any more so I hit the sack.
When I got up Sunday, I completely changed my lesson and then got ready for church. During church the youth did worship and Kam, me, and Brit all spoke for the service. After church the drama team practice again for this afternoon because we had a youth event afterward. We headed down to Thomas Presby Church next door. They were having our youth group over and i played some dodge ball and a lot of basketball. Then at about 6:45 we preformed both dramas "Out of the Gray" and "Everything". Afterwards Andrea explained the dramas &asked if anyone wanted to get saved. As she said the sinner's prayer, 1 girl raised her hands! Since by then my mom had arrived, we left. Since it was a packed weekend, basically I've just been chillin around the house. I just thought i'd share that with you all. Here are some pics my mom took.

Spring Camp

Well this last weekend was my youth group's spring camp, and for the smallest camp I've ever been to it wasn't so bad after all. Friday night we all met at Harriet's house for prayer then to head out. The camp was an hour away. Well when we got there I was surprised at the size of the camp. I was told it was small and there wasn't going to be much to do but when all there was was one building only the size 1 1/2 of my house and a baseball field outside my jaw dropped. After we all got settled in and found places to sleep we had the first afterglow. Brent told us to that we needed to get right with each other if there was anything we had against anyone in the group and to prepare our hearts for the Holy Spirit to come over the weekend. It was pretty cool to see people getting right with each other and with God. After that we pretty much all went to bed.

Saturday morning we had our walk with God and then our morning lesson. During our walk with God we had a sheet of paper with some questions and verses on it that we were to answer and go over during the lesson. All weekend Jimmy Kotow (the speaker) spoke on the Holy Spirit and told us many things about the Holy Spirit that we didn't even know. Then Brent split us up into buzz groups. I was the leader of my buzz group and in my group I had Alysha, June, Rachel, Jeremiah, and Seth. We discussed things about the lesson and the Holy Spirit. Then after all the groups were done we all came back together and shared what we had discussed in our groups. If we had any questions, Jimmy Kotow would answer them. During free time Dave and Parker showed up and stayed for most of the day. After free time was over we had stunt night and then the drama group (Which I was in) preformed for the first time in front of an audience "Everything". It went well. Then we had afterglow and it was awesome! People were healed and touched by the Spirit. It was really good. That night when everyone went to bed I pretty much just stayed up with the adults and watched them play cards and talk.

The next day was pretty close to the same thing but without the stunt night. And, oh, my mom came as well as David this time. At the afterglow, Jimmy Kotow asked for those who wanted a touch from God & everyone went up. Then he asked who wanted to be saved, 4 people prayer for salvation. Then he had the people who wanted to make a stand, to dedicate their lives to God, and to being used by God to come up. I was surprised at how many people came up for each. It was really cool. Later that night we played Jail Break in the dark but it got boring so I kind of quit. I went and sat in on a group discussion Casey was having, which was pretty cool. I got to see what they thought about some things in the Bible and church and what I thought about the situation. Then after that I basically called it a night.

Monday we all shared what we thought about the weekend and what we liked about it. and then it was pack up and clean up time. When we were done packing, we played some volleyball during the time we had left before we had to go. Then Rusty showed up and we headed home. Over all it was a good weekend and I can't wait till next camp. Here are some pictures my mom and brother took over the weekend.

Mother's Day and the week

Well last week Alyssa and Kia came over for the week because their parents were out of town. I wasn't really home much this week but here are some pictures of what we did when I was around.

Kia decided to cover me in pillows every morning

Moose playing the piano with Kia.

Kia attacking moose.

Kia wanted to join me for school. or something like that.

Yet another attack of the pillows. Yeah I'm in there.

This was the only picture we got of Alyssa.
And that's about all we have from that. It was fun I guess. and they left on Thursday.
And today was Mothers Day. At church the mothers all went to the front and all the youth got their gifts and took them up to the mothers. They all got a mug and a book to go with it. Then after church we went home and had the greatest dinner. We had steak, French bread that my dad made, and salad. And cake for dessert. Then basically the rest of the day I slept. So thats whats been going on around here.

Drama Team

So recently my youth group has started our first "drama team". Which has kinda of taken over our soul survivors team which Johnny was leading but kinda of died when he graduated. So now we have a drama team which is lead by Andrea. We had our first meeting last Saturday and we are meeting ever Thursday before youth group and every other Saturday morning. I was kind of amazed at the amount of people we had come to do the drama/human video Saturday because not many kids would do it at camp's skit night. But we had about ten people from our youth group that showed up and participated. the drama we are working on right now is Everything by Lifehouse and I play both the back up Jesus after Kam Kam and the boyfriend in it. You can see what parts I play and the rest of the drama at....

So take a look at it and I hope you enjoy it and maybe when we actually preform it I'll tape it and post it.

Busy

Busy is a good thing for me. I like being busy because I'm never bored when I'm busy and the last couple weeks have been busy for me. First was 2 Saturdays ago me; Kam, Brent, and Jonny delivered Easter baskets to people and prayed for them as an out reach project for the month. When that was over we went to John T's 16th birthday party. We played basketball and as always my team won. And I would have won at football as well but I didn't have an extra shirt to get muddy so I didn't play. but I still had fun. That Sunday it was Easter Sunday and of course that was fun because I basically had the whole day to play basketball and "schooled" everyone I played. ;) Aunt Jacque came and we had Easter dinner here this year because Grandma was down with Grandma Helen in Tennessee(we are having it with her in April). Then the rest of the week I worked on finishing my Biology for the year(which I did:] ). On Saturday I went to work for Mr. Puskarich till 3:30 in the afternoon. When I got home I got a call from my friend Kalyn saying that we were going have a youth party at Kam's house. So I went to that and my team dominated at basketball there. After I got picked up from there I went to my friend KC's 16th birthday party till 11. Sunday I basically had nothing to but church so my neighbors came over and we played soccer and basketball till dark. Monday I had Go Time as usual and found out I was going to speak today at another youth group Brent has on Tuesdays. So today after school and some basketball, Brent picked me up and I gave a my devotion and he gave the lesson. So that was pretty much it for this week. Tomorrow I'm working again for Mr. Puskarich and going bowling, Thursday we are having a all night worship thing at youth group, Friday I Might be going to see NewsBoys in concert so that will be cool, and then Saturday I have drama Practice with the youth and a party to go to. So thats about it.

the weekend

well Thursday came and i got my school stuff done, got packed, and went to Brent's to leave for breakaway. when we got to Brent's house we found out that his mother-in-law was sent to the hospital so things had to be put on hold. while we waited to see what we were going to do, we played basketball. Jeremy's team won. then finally Brent just decided that Jonny would just have to take us. Brent was going to stay home and see how things went with his mother-in-law. so we left and started our 4 and a half hour drive for Valley Forge. since we were running late, the service had started already when we got there. i got to see Ashley and Robyn but only for a few seconds because we left to sign up for the dodge ball tournament. after we ate pizza and wings, we went and headed for the tournament that was about to start. our game was the last match in the first round of the tournament. we won the first round, the second round, the third round, and the first two games of the final round. all we had to do was win one more game and we would have finished the tournament undefeated. but of course we lost the next three games and came in 2nd in the tournament. it was a lot of fun though. then we got our things together and found our dorm rooms. i stayed with a freshmen who had the room to himself. he was a pretty cool guy and he had a xbox 360 and a ps2 with surround sound. whats not cool about that?! ha ha. but after a bunch of the guys were done playing video games and watching a movie, we went to bed. the next morning i woke up, i took a shower and went down to the pop machine and got myself a Mountain Dew to get me going for the day. i met up with Jeremy and T and we went to chapel. the service was really good. then we decided that we were just gonna eat lunch and go home. we stopped at Red Robin and had lunch and headed for home it was a long 4 and a half hour drive home. when i got home my brothers told me we were going out to eat so i put my stuff away and we left for Cici's and basically that was my day. Saturday i woke up and went with my dad to a really muddy junk yard to get a part for our minivan because somebody hit it and broke the mirror on the drivers side while my mom was in Finleyville. so we got one and went back home. he fixed the car and i shot hoops with my brothers and the neighbors while i waited for Dave and Parker to show up. they got here and Parker went wild. he ran all over the place and chased the twins around all over the yard. i went to the mall with my friend kc and came back and went to bed and Parker decided to join us and slept with Aaron till my brother came home. well that was my weekend. i'll post some pictures when i upload them.

meeting Parker

Saturday Dave came up for a visit and since Carissa was up in Michigan with her parents Dave brought up Parker. He was really excited when he got out of the car and ran all over the place. And last night he slept in our room with us until Dave came home. He is staying with us until Dave and him leave today. Here are some pictures of Parker and us.

I can't wait to go but i can because i have to still try to fit in school before I go. We are leaving tomorrow at noon and are coming home Friday evening. And on Saturday Dave is coming up to visit us for a day or two. well thats about all for now. I have to get up at normal people time tomorrow so I'm going to get off. ha ha. Night.

no subject

well friday night after we lost to serra catholic my youth group had our all night bowling night. which was pretty fun considering i won all but one game. i was up till 4:45 that night because i had to tell my dad how the game went before he went to work and i went to bed. i slept in on saturday until 12:30 and the rest of the day was pretty boring because it was cold and snowing.
sunday we had church like usual and went home ate then went to the prayer room to work on the picture i'm suppose to be drawing on the wall. but of course i forgot the picture at home and didn't really get to do anything. then at 5 we ended the basketball season and turned in our jerseys. it stinks that the season is over now but i'll be a starter next year so its not all that bad. while i was at that my mom saw a lady carrying bags of food and other things and asked her if she needed a ride. so my mom gave her a ride and took her to her house up at the apartments and when she came to pick me up she told me about it and said she was going to go up and ask her if she would like to come to church with us and if her son would like to come to our youth group and shes said she would. so monday after school around 4:15 like we always do we headed out the door to go to piano lessons and we picked the lady and her son up. he seemed to be a little shy but his mom talked to my mom just fine. we dropped the twins off at piano and then we went to the community center to set up. we had our regular monday night madness and brandon seemed to like it and later his mom came up and ate with us and my dad came and picked us up. we dropped her and her son off and she seemed to be excited about coming thursday to youth and sunday to church. so i hope they like and God meets their needs. well that's about all for now i'll post again tomorrow about valley forge coming up.leave comments.

We have come to the end of the road

well it happened. we played Serra Catholic and lost 81 to54. so now the season is over and we all have to go on with our normal lives again.(well semi-normal.) but oh well, it was a good first season and one of the best seasons bentworth has ever had. i just hope we can do it all again next year. now i have to get a job and move on just like the rest of the world until next season. oh well.
heres a link to show a summary of the game. our game is game 2. bentworth is the team in black.

Round 3

Tomorrow's the big day. We are going to Chartiers Valley High to face Serra Catholic in the third round in the PIAA state playoffs. It'll be a long day for me tomorrow because we don't just have a game to play but the school is having a pep rally at 2:20 and after the game, I'm going to all night bowling with my youth group till 4am and then we're going to King's. But it should be fun. If we win or lose tomorrow decides whether our season goes on or if our season ends for the year. But whatever happens happens. Well, I'll post again on Saturday if I remember to and tell you all what happened. Pray for us.

We'll be movin on up

We did it! The boy's basketball team of Bentworth High School is moving on to the next round of state playoffs winning Our first state playoff game 55 to 30 against Southern Fulton. Putting us in the seconds round of state playoffs in the first time since 1979. One of our top players Jon Kennedy dunked in the first quarter of the game, which put us ahead for probably our lowest scored first period for the whole season at 12 to 8 in the first period of the game. And in the fourth quarter coach put in the JV players to finish the last couple minutes of the game. When we got done and went out to get on the bus to leave it had been snowing the whole time we were in the school and the bus almost didn't make it out of the school parking lot. But after 10 minutes of the buses wheels spinning on top of the slushy snow we made it out and head to the restaurant and then home. So I'm glad to say we are moving on up to the next round to kick some butt (or to get our butts kicked) in the next round of the 2008 PIAA state playoffs. And our next game is this Tuesday. So I'll try to keep you all updated on that cause there is a good chance this isn't going to happen again anytime soon in the near future for this basketball team. lol.

Blog Challenge

Post about your morning routine.

Well mornings are mostly a blur to me but I'll try to to tell ya about it anyways.
At about 8:45 my mother comes in to my room and tells us all to get up, so i get up (trying not to get yelled at anymore for the time being,) and go to the bathroom. After i do my business i go down read the passage in my Bible for the day and pass out on the couch. When everyone else finishes eating breakfast and reading their Bibles they come in usually one of the twins come in and beat me with a pillow or something of that sort to wake me up. We have Bible study and read a little section our Jesus Freak book. Then I go and eat my breakfast and get yelled at for all the reasons why I should have already eaten my breakfast with everyone else instead of sleeping on the coach. After that I go up to the play room and and start working on my school and that goes till about noon. so that's basically my morning routine.
