It's been a while

Well I finally decided to post about something. About two weeks ago my youth group (Go Time Ministries) helped out with a Community Day in Finleyville. It was a blast and there were a lot of people out even though it rained half the day. We were all split up into groups wearing blue Go Time shirts so that people would know who we were and what we were doing there. The group i was in charge of help to put up road signs and set up the kids candy tent. After we set up and got the day started, me and my friend Jeremy helped directing traffic with our orange sand green vests and orange flags. But of course we had to make it interesting so we decided to direct the traffic by doing the YMCA dance and having doughnuts and chocolate milk. Then we were relieved of our traffic duties and helped out with the kids recreation. It started raining half way through the day, but we made the best of it and played knockout in the rain. Randomly through the day me and a couple of my friends would walk around and take a look at some of the stands (mostly the food stands) and watched some of the singers that preformed on stage. Then it was our turn, the drama team preformed the Everything drama once at 2:30 and once at 4. At the end of the day all the singers from the different churches came together for a community choir and sang a few hymns and song and then Brent ended the day with a prayer. Here are a few of the pictures my mom got of the day.

cool. Thats a great way to reach out into the community. I miss those outreaches we did as a church. And no one should try top play basketball with a loli in their mouth.
