Spring Camp

Well this last weekend was my youth group's spring camp, and for the smallest camp I've ever been to it wasn't so bad after all. Friday night we all met at Harriet's house for prayer then to head out. The camp was an hour away. Well when we got there I was surprised at the size of the camp. I was told it was small and there wasn't going to be much to do but when all there was was one building only the size 1 1/2 of my house and a baseball field outside my jaw dropped. After we all got settled in and found places to sleep we had the first afterglow. Brent told us to that we needed to get right with each other if there was anything we had against anyone in the group and to prepare our hearts for the Holy Spirit to come over the weekend. It was pretty cool to see people getting right with each other and with God. After that we pretty much all went to bed.

Saturday morning we had our walk with God and then our morning lesson. During our walk with God we had a sheet of paper with some questions and verses on it that we were to answer and go over during the lesson. All weekend Jimmy Kotow (the speaker) spoke on the Holy Spirit and told us many things about the Holy Spirit that we didn't even know. Then Brent split us up into buzz groups. I was the leader of my buzz group and in my group I had Alysha, June, Rachel, Jeremiah, and Seth. We discussed things about the lesson and the Holy Spirit. Then after all the groups were done we all came back together and shared what we had discussed in our groups. If we had any questions, Jimmy Kotow would answer them. During free time Dave and Parker showed up and stayed for most of the day. After free time was over we had stunt night and then the drama group (Which I was in) preformed for the first time in front of an audience "Everything". It went well. Then we had afterglow and it was awesome! People were healed and touched by the Spirit. It was really good. That night when everyone went to bed I pretty much just stayed up with the adults and watched them play cards and talk.

The next day was pretty close to the same thing but without the stunt night. And, oh, my mom came as well as David this time. At the afterglow, Jimmy Kotow asked for those who wanted a touch from God & everyone went up. Then he asked who wanted to be saved, 4 people prayer for salvation. Then he had the people who wanted to make a stand, to dedicate their lives to God, and to being used by God to come up. I was surprised at how many people came up for each. It was really cool. Later that night we played Jail Break in the dark but it got boring so I kind of quit. I went and sat in on a group discussion Casey was having, which was pretty cool. I got to see what they thought about some things in the Bible and church and what I thought about the situation. Then after that I basically called it a night.

Monday we all shared what we thought about the weekend and what we liked about it. and then it was pack up and clean up time. When we were done packing, we played some volleyball during the time we had left before we had to go. Then Rusty showed up and we headed home. Over all it was a good weekend and I can't wait till next camp. Here are some pictures my mom and brother took over the weekend.

Mother's Day and the week

Well last week Alyssa and Kia came over for the week because their parents were out of town. I wasn't really home much this week but here are some pictures of what we did when I was around.

Kia decided to cover me in pillows every morning

Kia wanted to join me for school. or something like that.

Yet another attack of the pillows. Yeah I'm in there.

This was the only picture we got of Alyssa.
And that's about all we have from that. It was fun I guess. and they left on Thursday.
And today was Mothers Day. At church the mothers all went to the front and all the youth got their gifts and took them up to the mothers. They all got a mug and a book to go with it. Then after church we went home and had the greatest dinner. We had steak, French bread that my dad made, and salad. And cake for dessert. Then basically the rest of the day I slept. So thats whats been going on around here.
