It's been a while

Well I finally decided to post about something. About two weeks ago my youth group (Go Time Ministries) helped out with a Community Day in Finleyville. It was a blast and there were a lot of people out even though it rained half the day. We were all split up into groups wearing blue Go Time shirts so that people would know who we were and what we were doing there. The group i was in charge of help to put up road signs and set up the kids candy tent. After we set up and got the day started, me and my friend Jeremy helped directing traffic with our orange sand green vests and orange flags. But of course we had to make it interesting so we decided to direct the traffic by doing the YMCA dance and having doughnuts and chocolate milk. Then we were relieved of our traffic duties and helped out with the kids recreation. It started raining half way through the day, but we made the best of it and played knockout in the rain. Randomly through the day me and a couple of my friends would walk around and take a look at some of the stands (mostly the food stands) and watched some of the singers that preformed on stage. Then it was our turn, the drama team preformed the Everything drama once at 2:30 and once at 4. At the end of the day all the singers from the different churches came together for a community choir and sang a few hymns and song and then Brent ended the day with a prayer. Here are a few of the pictures my mom got of the day.

Happy Fathers Day!

well today is fathers day. and right now i'm waiting to eat some fathers day steak so i thought i would talk about the day. well on the way to church we picked up my mom's friend raynel and went on our way to church. on the way there we saw that they were having a car show kind of thing down at the fire hall in town. so we thought that after church we would check it out. we got to church and at the end of the service all the fathers came up for prayer and got sarris chocolate bars. i got one because i helped out=]. then we went home and i went and did some swimming at my friends house for a while. mean while my brothers and my dad all went to see the cars down at the fire hall and got some pictures of them. the they came back and went swimming as well. but here are some pictures of some of the cars they saw.
then we came home and are now waiting for dinner to be ready. later on we may go to wiggies house for movie night but we're not sure yet. if not we'll probably hang around here for a while. well thats about it for me hope everyone has a nice fathers day.

Saturday and Sunday

Well, Saturday I woke up bright and early to go fishing but instead I woke up to really find that it was pouring down rain. So needless to say, the first half of the day stunk, but we fished anyways. It finally cleared up toward the of middle of the day. After fishing until about 3, we went to Brittini Scott's b-day party at 4:30. We all went up to Trinity High School to play football and ultimate frisbee. After a sunny afternoon, it decided to pour right in the middle of it for like ten minutes. Then we had sun shine again, so it was really a weird day. Later we went back to Brit's house and shot hoops and opened presents and such. After I got home, I worked on my lesson that Pastor Bill asked me to do for Sunday morning service until midnight. I really couldn't concentrate any more so I hit the sack.
When I got up Sunday, I completely changed my lesson and then got ready for church. During church the youth did worship and Kam, me, and Brit all spoke for the service. After church the drama team practice again for this afternoon because we had a youth event afterward. We headed down to Thomas Presby Church next door. They were having our youth group over and i played some dodge ball and a lot of basketball. Then at about 6:45 we preformed both dramas "Out of the Gray" and "Everything". Afterwards Andrea explained the dramas &asked if anyone wanted to get saved. As she said the sinner's prayer, 1 girl raised her hands! Since by then my mom had arrived, we left. Since it was a packed weekend, basically I've just been chillin around the house. I just thought i'd share that with you all. Here are some pics my mom took.
